Terrazzo Flooring — Est. 1987
Terra Firma Terrazzo crafts terrazzo flooring for spaces that demand permanence — from firehouses and schools to luxury residences and landmark building lobbies where the floor must endure decades of use without losing its character.

Who We Serve
From civic institutions to landmark residences, we work where permanence is non-negotiable — spaces that need their floors to perform beautifully for a century, not a lease term.
Apparatus bays, dormitories, and common areas that take extreme mechanical abuse daily. Our epoxy terrazzo systems resist oil, fuel, abrasion, and the weight of heavy apparatus — without cracking, staining, or requiring replacement.
Learn moreSanctuaries, narthexes, and fellowship halls deserve floors that honor the space. We work with clergy and architects to incorporate custom medallions, inlaid symbols, and color palettes that reflect a congregation's identity — in material that lasts generations.
Learn moreHallways, cafeterias, and gymnasia face thousands of footsteps daily for decades. Terrazzo's hardness, ease of cleaning, and lack of seams make it the most hygienic and lowest-maintenance option for K–12 and higher education facilities.
Learn moreThe lobby is a building's first and last impression. We design and install terrazzo floors and elevator cabs that command attention — seamless patterns that flow from the street entrance through to the lift, with custom inlaid medallions and precision brass detailing that signal quality from the moment the door opens.
Learn moreKitchens and bathrooms in luxury residences demand a material that is simultaneously beautiful and indestructible. Terrazzo is waterproof, seamless, and infinitely customizable — a bespoke floor, countertop, or shower surround that is uniquely yours, impossible to replicate, and grows more beautiful with age.
Learn moreHow We Work
Every installation begins with deep listening. We understand your budget, timeline, code requirements, and aesthetic vision before a single chip is poured.
Step A
We evaluate substrate condition, load requirements, moisture levels, and existing floor systems. No guesswork — just data.
Step B
Choose from hundreds of chip varieties, binders, and divider strip metals. We produce physical samples before any commitment.
Step C
Substrate grinding, crack repair, and primer application. The floor beneath the floor is as important as what's on top.
Step D
Matrix is poured, leveled, and allowed to cure fully — no shortcuts. Rushing this step is how you get a floor that fails in five years.
Step E
Sequential diamond grinding reveals the aggregate pattern. Final polish brings the floor to its specified sheen — from matte to mirror.
What We Use
We work exclusively with Portland cement and epoxy binders from established suppliers. Our aggregate library includes marble, glass, granite, mother-of-pearl, and recycled post-industrial chips — all verified for consistency and sourced responsibly.
Divider strips in brass, aluminum, or white alloy define patterns and control expansion. These aren't decorative afterthoughts — they are structural elements that prevent cracking and allow the floor to breathe over decades of thermal cycling.
We carry no proprietary product lines. Every specification we make is driven by what performs best for your space, not what's most profitable for us.
Terra Firma Terrazzo installed our sanctuary floor in 1999. Twenty-five years later, it still looks like the day it was finished. That's not maintenance — that's craftsmanship.
